About
Built by someone who's written the proposals.
Echoslate is made by me, David Doucette. I spent years scoping and quoting product-development work by hand — rebuilding scope from client conversations, chasing discipline leads for numbers, and padding the parts nobody could price yet, over and over, for jobs that never looked like the last one.
Every firm I know keeps its best estimating knowledge in two places: old proposals nobody rereads, and the heads of the senior people who wrote them. Echoslate exists to make that first place useful — so the fifty proposals you've already written help write the next one.
What it stands for
- It drafts, you decide. Every work package, hour figure, and assumption arrives as a proposal to you. Nothing reaches a client that you didn't sign off.
- Your record stays yours. Your proposals, rates, and client information live in your firm's workspace, improve your estimates only, and never train models or reach other firms.
- No invented numbers. On this site and in the product: we don't publish figures we haven't measured. Producing real ones is what the beta is for.
